PDMS Newsletter Introducing Registry & RegulatoryWednesday November 22nd 2017
Welcome to our latest PDMS R&R newsletter. We have been as busy as ever, this year visiting Geneva for EBACE and organising the brilliant ‘Raise the Bar at Tower Bridge’ event with the IOM Maritime Group whilst our core Ship Registry (MARIS) & Aircraft Registry (AERIS) solutions continued to evolve.
If you’d like to speak to us about any of PDMS’s Registry and Regulatory solutions products and services, please do get in touch!
London International Shipping Week 2017 Raise the Bar at Tower Bridge event
“Raising the bar at Tower Bridge” was organised by the Isle of Man Maritime Group, as part of LISW 2017, to highlight the Isle of Man’s diverse and growing maritime cluster. Over 150 business representatives with a maritime connection attended the Group’s drinks reception at one of London’s most iconic landmarks.
Business leaders enjoyed spectacular views of the Tower, the Shard, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the City and, as the sun set, the city lights illuminated the glorious London skyline. Please read more about the event here.
New Website for Isle of Man Ship Registry
We are pleased to have worked closely with the Isle of Man Ship Registry in providing the design and development of their new website to further raise the Registry’s profile.
The new mobile friendly website gives users an enhanced experience when browsing the site, better demonstrating the Ship Registry’s different service offerings.
Read the case study to find out more about the new website project to help promote your organisation.
Earlier this year, PDMS R&R travelled to Geneva for the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) between May 22nd and 24th.
It was great to see people from all walks of the aviation community. This included prominent Aircraft Registries, business leaders, government officials, manufacturers and flight department personnel.
We were also able to showcase the work we’ve undertaken on our modern IT platform for Aircraft Registries called AERIS.
PDMS R&R – We’ve rebranded!
As part of our ongoing strategy, we have changed the name of our Division from PDMS Maritime to PDMS Registry & Regulatory Solutions. This follows the reshaping of Divisions within PDMS to better reflect the needs of the different markets we serve.
We continue to have a strong maritime focus – helping international ship registries to improve productivity and customer service with our MARIS platform. However, with a deep understanding of the common business challenges faced by registries and regulators around the world, our new PDMS Registries & Regulatory Solutions Division have expanded to include Aircraft Registries, Company Registries and other regulatory agencies. Please take a look at our new website to find out more.
e-Certificates and the future
The Isle of Man Ship Registry wrote an interesting article about the importance of introducing e-Certificates on a mass scale.
There are a number of significant advantages to producing e-Certifcates, not least reducing the administrative burden of dealing with paper certificates, and making them instantly available to customers. However, there has been reluctance by some to move to e-Certificates due to perceived security and acceptance issues. Please read the Isle of Man Ship Registry’s article here.
