Welcome to our second newsletter of 2019!
The past three months have been busy for the R&R team, with two user groups taking place, four separate events attended, a filming a new video and new product literature being released.
Third party reporting
There has been significant innovation in reporting and analysis tools in recent years. PDMS has been exploring options to provide our clients with more powerful methods for viewing key statistics and analysing their data.
If you are interested in making your data work harder, please get in touch with Catriona.
Progressive web apps
The term ‘Progressive Web Applications’ or PWA for short is a term that was coined in 2015 by Frances Berriman and Alex Russell and is used to describe apps taking advantage of new features supported by modern browsers. The end result is that users experience an ‘app-like’ interface on internet browsers across mobile and desktop devices.

As many of you will be aware, maritime legend, Dick Welsh from the Isle of Man Ship Registry retired in 2019.
Before he left, we managed to get some time with him to learn more about how our MARIS software has improved the service the Isle of Man Ship Registry provides to its clients. Watch the video here.
MARIS user group
Our highly successful MARIS user group was held in the Isle of Man earlier this quarter. In the session, we explored offline services, reporting and blockchain with our MARIS users.
THEMIS user group
Users of our THEMIS platform attended our user group which was held in the Isle of Man. The group identified common themes and areas for development which the development team at PDMS will be looking at in more detail
If you would like to hear more about our MARIS or THEMIS systems or would like to join the community, please get in touch with Catriona.

Paris MOU list
A huge congratulations to our clients who moved up the Paris MOU list published on 19th June 2019. A special congratulations to the Isle of Man who have moved to top spot. The list is based on the number of inspections and detentions over a three year rolling period with flags with at least 30 inspections in that period.
A copy of the complete Paris MOU list can be viewed here.
